Assisted Living SIG workshop with the Modern Built Environment and Digital Communications KTN
Integrating Assisted Living into the Modern Built Environment
Tuesday 16 March - 10.00am – 14.00pm
Lancaster Room, Carters Green Business Centre, West Bromwich
With an aging population comes the challenge of designing new build housing stock and improving existing properties to enable residents to stay in their own home or a residential care home for longer and ease the pressure on hospital wards and doctors surgeries.
This workshop will bring together industry representatives from the healthcare, digital communications and building sectors. The current demand for good quality housing and a model for implementing assisted living design will be discussed, as well as the need for cross-sector collaborations and the benefit this can bring to industry. The Assisted Living Special interest group is funded by the Health Tech and Medicines KTN.
