IP-City member wins four gold awards

Ipswich based PR consultancy Project PR topped the medal table with four Gold awards in the annual Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) ‘PRide’ Awards for East Anglia. The Awards showcase the best PR work outside of London. BBC Look East presenter Alex Dunlop hosted the event held on 5 December at Endeavour House in Ipswich.
Project PR, which has four staff (pictured l-r: Rachel Cass and Amy Bullard with directors Charles and Penny Arbuthnot), won the special award for Outstanding Small Consultancy. It also won three further awards for Consumer Relations (PR for the Ford Retail group of 55 dealerships); Best Website (for the Team Ipswich website) and Integrated Communications (a joint entry with Suffolk manufacturer Challs International).
This year the PRide Awards attracted a total of 1,456 entries from 11 regions across the UK. Judging was by a national panel of industry experts. Project PR’s gold winning entries will now proceed to the CIPR President’s Grand Prix Awards where they’ll compete head to head against the rest of the UK’s gold winners.
“Credit goes to our enthusiastic and hard working team who consistently deliver the results for our clients. We were delighted to pick up more awards than any other PR agency or in-house team”, said Penny Arbuthnot, a director at Project PR.
Project PR was winner of the 2007 Anglian Business Awards ‘Small Business of the Year’. It works with a mix of private and public sector organisations handling local and national PR campaigns. Other local clients include Havebury Housing Partnership, solicitors Thompson Smith & Puxon and Mirage Cosmetics.

Gold Award: Outstanding Small Consultancy
‘Project PR is clearly doing very well with strong revenue, staff and client growth. It has a great client mix too and is breaking into national clients as well. It looks well on the way to meeting its longer term goals in the region.’
Gold Award: Consumer Relations: PR moves up a gear at Ford Retail
‘Project PR has assisted Ford dealerships across the UK in achieving excellent media coverage through this effective campaign. Their supportive approach, providing local dealerships with advice and guidance is enabling PR at its best. It shows how much can be achieved with some professional hand-holding and encouragement.’
Gold Award: Best Website: Helping Ipswich to Go for Gold in 2012.
‘A great, user friendly site that has easy navigation, clear and attractive layout and a good range of content relevant to the target audience. Additions such as online surveys, video clips and third party content are all highly commendable.’
Gold Award: Integrated Communications: ‘Plugholes Need Love Too’ (joint entry with Suffolk manufacturer Challs International)
‘Well planned and fully integrated communications campaign, to increase awareness of an uninspiring consumer product. The campaign had very clear objectives and a good use of creative thinking. The creative content allowed a sustained volume of communications output which resulted in widespread understanding and appreciation of their clients projects. Fundamentally the campaign resulted in significant business benefits for Challs International.’
